There are lots of wedding planning websites online, but not all of them have comprehensive information about planning your wedding from start to finish.
Some wedding sites are just getting started. Some just never got off the ground and may have been abandoned.
Fortunately for today’s bride, there are several wedding planning websites that offer comprehensive information and can seriously give you a leg up with your wedding.
I thought it would be nice to have a list of those websites in one place that allows you, the bride-to-be, to have one place to stop rather than hunting all over the Internet.
This is my list of the top 8 wedding planning websites:
#1 The Knot
This is one of the most comprehensive, creative and idea-filled wedding planning websites I’ve come across. I really like how their site is laid out. They have articles galore on planning your wedding, but they also have checklists, budgets, wedding tickers and a bevy of other wedding goodies and tools. This is often one of my first stops when I’m looking for a creative idea or a piece of information on wedding planning that I can’t find anywhere else.
#2 The Wedding Channel
They have lots of fun tips and tools for brides-to-be. For example, they have a budget planner, cake and wedding dress photos, hairstyle ideas and much more. Oh, and for friends of the bride, this is the place to go if you need to figure out where the bride’s gift registry is — because she’s out of town and you forgot to ask her before she left. You can actually put in her first and last name and it will search popular wedding registries to see where she is registered. This can make finding gifts for the bride and groom so much easier!
#3 Wedding Solutions
One of the cool things about this wedding planning website is the Bridal Guide Daily Tip which I think is really neat. The Weekly Wedding News and Media section is really fun too; you can see what famous people are doing for their weddings (or infamous, as the case may be). In addition, they have a search engine, so you can search for wedding vendors in your area. This is a really nice tool if you don’t know where to find wedding vendors. On top of all this, they have lots of informative articles as well.
#4 Martha Stewart Weddings
I can’t believe I’ve found another Martha Stewart thing that I like. I’ve always kind of liked Martha, but she hasn’t necessarily always been my favorite. However, I really like her wedding planning website — mainly because it has so many cool ideas and things for your wedding that you can make yourself. She is definitely the queen of homemade stuff that looks really cool! She also has a ton of great wedding planning articles as well.
#5 Brides
This site isn’t necessarily for the frugal bride, but it still has some good information and is a great source of ideas. I really like the photo gallery of all the top wedding dress designers’ dresses. There are also runway show photos and videos so you can see how the dresses move with the model as well — which is not always easy to see from a photo. Plus, there are lots of great articles and information on destination weddings, gift registries, wedding budgeting, and a whole slew of other wedding planning topics.
#6 Our Wedding Day
One of the really nice things about this site is that you can sign up for a free account to get access to all sorts of online wedding planning tools — such as save the date e-cards, a budget planner, an RSVP manager, and there’s even the option to create your own website. There are many good articles and information about vendors here.
#7 Team Wedding
This is the mac daddy of wedding planning websites. It has links to all types of wedding-related sites that can assist you with planning your wedding from start to finish. It’s basically the wedding planning website for wedding planning websites! You’ll find tons of links to online bridal shops and other vendors. On top of that, there’s information and links to fitness-related websites which cater to brides-to-be. It’s definitely worth a look, if you’re trying to find a reputable vendor.
And finally, if you’re reading this article, then you’ll probably agree that this one of the best wedding planning sites for brides-to-be:
#8 The Fun Times Guide To Weddings
You’ll find lots of unique ideas that both you and your friends can use. The site is jam-packed with tips to help you plan all the details of your wedding, including lots of DIY wedding ideas. For the bride on a budget, this one of the best wedding planning websites around.
There is probably more information on these 8 wedding planning websites than one person could possibly consume in a lifetime! They are all worth visiting because each has a lot of unique things to offer the bride-to-be when it comes to planning a wedding.
